Is it easy to travel from the US to the Bahamas?

Camp Bahamas Missions is on the island of Eleuthera. There is easy access from America to any of the 3 local airports. Commercial airlines, and private airlines all fly to Eleuthera.

Are there any safety concerns with traveling internationally to Eleuthera and staying at Camp Bahamas Missions?

Although The Bahamas is an international destination, there are no concerns for your safety while serving on your missions trip in the family island of Eleuthera, where communities are small and tight-knit. Eleuthera is the Greek word for “freedom” which is experienced through the slower pace and simplicity of family island culture.

Isn’t The Bahamas just a “vacation destination?”

No, although that is the common misconception for most tropical places around the globe. For the average Bahamian, beautiful landscape and beaches do not replace the real physical or spiritual needs found within communities affected by a loss of hope through poverty, broken homes, drug and alcohol addiction, lack of jobs and infrastructure. We love for our guests to experience what the real Bahamas is all about and leave with a clear image of how valuable it is to share the message of Jesus across the world on every island, every country, and every continent.
